Popstairs, new street art project in Rome

The other day, leaving home and going to catch the train, I was met by a lovely surprise: Rome’s street art fever had reached my otherwise anonymous neighborhood, and now thanks to great street artist Diavù (Instagram https://instagram.com/diavu), it turns out I live near Ingrid Bergman.

After revamping many grey areas of the Italian capital, this new street art project aims at sprucing up three different neighborhoods, starting from, well, mine, in Via Fiamignano just in front of train station Ipogeo degli Ottavi.

The project, organized by Ossigeno Festival 2015 in collaboration with MURo and Roma&Roma.it, is called Popstairs, and in three different public staircases David “Diavù” Vecchiato will paint three famous actresses, so far Ingrid Bergman and Michèle Mercier in Corso Francia.

While I’m happy to enjoy this beautiful graffiti every time I go out, I wait to see the rest of the work!
